With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Scott is dedicated to building enduring client relationships grounded in trust, transparency, and a deep understanding of each client’s unique business and personal goals. His consultative approach enables him to deliver thoughtful, customized strategies designed to support long-term financial success.

Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations (held with LPL Financial), along with California Insurance Licenses for Life, Health, and Disability (License #0C32223; resident state: CA). He has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation through Fi360 and the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialistâ„  (CRPS®) designation from the College for Financial Planning, demonstrating his commitment to fiduciary excellence and retirement plan expertise. Scott also holds the title of Institutional Plan Fiduciary Consultant, recognizing his work with larger employer-sponsored retirement plans.

Scott began his career in 1991 with Shearson Lehman Brothers in downtown Los Angeles. Following the firm’s transition into what became Smith Barney, he continued to grow his practice before relocating to San Diego in 1996 to be closer to family. He worked from the UTC Smith Barney office and later joined Wachovia Securities in 2007 (a predecessor to Wells Fargo Advisors), where he further refined his focus on consultative, client-centered solutions.

From 2013 through 2024, Scott was recognized as a Platinum Council Advisor—an honor awarded to a select group of advisors at Wells Fargo Advisors based on a combination of business achievement and professional excellence.

Scott lives in Carmel Valley with his wife, Katie, and their daughters, Kylie and Avery. He values spending quality time with his family—whether at home, on the sidelines of his daughters’ activities, cheering at a Padres game, or enjoying weekend breakfasts together. In his spare time, Scott enjoys golf and following college football and basketball.
